Why we publish the numbers

A logo is a claim, a certificate number is checkable

Most solar company websites in Pakistan display certification logos. Very few publish the certificate numbers, which is the part that lets a buyer verify anything.

We publish ours. If you are evaluating us against another contractor, ask them for their AEDB certificate number and category, and check what that category permits. It is a short conversation that tells you a great deal.

Three registration numbers, three separate registers, three different things they prove. A logo on a website proves none of them. Take these numbers to the issuing bodies, and ask anyone else you are considering for their equivalents.

The credentials

What each one covers

  • Alternative Energy Development Board

    AEDB CR/22/075/C-1

Alternative Energy Development Board certification. C-1 is the senior installer category, above the C-2 and C-3 categories held by many competitors in this market.

  • Pakistan Engineering Council

    PEC Licence 8101, Category C3/E

Pakistan Engineering Council licence. This is what allows a named engineer to take professional responsibility for the design and sign the commissioning certificate.

  • Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan

    SECP 0157261

Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan registration for PENTA-H (Private) Limited. Confirms the company you are contracting with exists as a legal entity.

  • Bahria Town

    Bahria Town Approved Vendor

One of five solar vendors approved to work inside Bahria Town Lahore, which governs site access and roof sign-off within the society.

Questions about our credentials

Which certifications does PENTA-H hold?
AEDB certification CR/22/075/C-1, which permits us to build grid-tied solar. PEC licence 8101 in category C3/E, which is what allows an engineer to sign work off. SECP registration 0157261, which confirms the company legally exists. All three are on public registers.
Why publish the numbers rather than the logos?
Because a logo is a claim and a number is checkable. Anyone can put a badge on a website. Take these three numbers to the issuing bodies, and ask whoever else you are considering for their equivalents.
What does AEDB certification actually cover?
It is the Alternative Energy Development Board's certification of solar installers and covers competence to design and build grid-tied systems. It is the credential a DISCO expects to see behind a net billing application.
What is a PEC licence and why does the category matter?
The Pakistan Engineering Council licenses engineering firms, and the category defines the scale and class of work permitted. Ours is 8101 (C3/E). A firm without an appropriate category cannot lawfully have an engineer sign your commissioning certificate.
Is PentaVault certified separately from the company?
Yes. Company credentials and product certification are different things. PentaVault packs carry CE, UN38.3 and IEC 62619, and we will send you those certificates with the issuing body and certificate number on request.
Does Pakistan require lithium batteries to be safety tested?
No, and that is the point. PSQCA does not operate a lithium battery testing laboratory, so imported storage is not required to pass any local test before it is sold to a household. International certification is the only meaningful assurance available, which is why we publish ours.
How do I verify a certificate is genuine?
Each carries an issuing body and a number that can be checked with that body directly. We would rather you did that than take our word for it, and any supplier reluctant to give you both is telling you something.
