What the Citadel looks like where it lives

A liquid-cooled cabinet with a built-in dehumidifier, perfluorohexanone plus aerosol fire suppression, and physically separated electrical and hydraulic circuits. Supports parallel scaling for higher capacity, with certifications for grid-tied deployment.

The cabinet is designed to be seen by the people who maintain it rather than hidden away, with the status display and service access at the front and the cooling circuit reachable without moving the unit.

Where it fits

The sites this cabinet is built for

  • The factory and the production line

Shave peak-tariff hours by discharging when the grid is most expensive. Carry the line through outages so production does not lose a shift. Scale in parallel to match the connected load.

  • The telecom site and the data closet

Replace ageing lead-acid banks with a single sealed cabinet. Liquid cooling holds capacity in 45-plus-degree shelters, and IP54 puts outdoor placement on the table.

  • The commercial property and retail anchor

Run HVAC, refrigeration and lighting through extended outages. Pair with a rooftop array to convert wasted curtailment into stored energy used after dark.

The commercial case

Why the peak matters more than the units

An industrial tariff charges for the highest half hour of demand recorded across the whole month, not only for the energy consumed. One badly timed simultaneous start can set a charge you then pay on every subsequent bill.

Discharging the Citadel through those peaks lowers the recorded maximum demand. On sites with a pronounced peak profile this single effect can move the bill more than the solar generation does.

Industrial tariffs charge for the highest half hour of demand across the whole month, not just for the units consumed. A battery discharging through those peaks lowers the recorded maximum demand, and that single number can move the bill more than the generation does.

Questions about the Citadel

How many Citadel cabinets will my site need?
It follows from the load study rather than from the roof size. We model the tariff saving, the maximum demand reduction and the value of continuity separately, and the cabinet count falls out of whichever of those three you are actually buying.
What does 125 kW continuous mean for my machines?
It is the power the cabinet can sustain, as distinct from the 261 kWh it can store. Power decides what you can run at once; energy decides for how long. A site with heavy simultaneous motor starts is buying power, and a site riding out long outages is buying energy.
Why liquid cooling rather than a cheaper passive cabinet?
Because passive cabinets lose usable capacity as ambient temperature rises, and in Multan or Sialkot that loss arrives exactly when demand peaks. The Citadel holds close to full capacity to 50 degrees where a passive unit is down around 79 percent.
Can it be installed outdoors?
The IP54 rating makes outdoor and semi-outdoor placement viable, subject to a plinth, shading and service access. Indoors is still preferable where there is space, and the survey settles it.
What are the civil works?
A level reinforced plinth capable of carrying 2.33 tonnes per cabinet, cable routing and, where relevant, a bund or drainage detail. It appears as a line item in the proposal rather than as a surprise on the invoice.
How is it delivered and positioned?
By crane or forklift onto the prepared plinth. Access route, door widths and overhead clearance are checked at survey, because discovering a 2.33 tonne cabinet will not fit through the yard gate is an expensive way to learn it.
What monitoring do we get?
State of charge, power flow, cell temperatures and fault history, with the controller configured against your tariff windows. Your maintenance team sees the same data we do.
What is the maintenance requirement?
An annual inspection covering the cooling circuit, terminations, protection devices and battery management data. It is written into the contract with response times rather than described in a meeting.
