What EPC means here

One company answerable for the whole chain

EPC means engineering, procurement and construction delivered under a single contract. In practice it means there is one company to hold responsible if the design is wrong, the equipment is not what was specified, or the installation underperforms.

That matters in a market where the common alternative is a trader who sells the equipment, a subcontractor who installs it, and nobody who owns the outcome. When a system underperforms in year three, the phone calls go in circles.

We design the system, procure the equipment, install it, commission it and file the net billing application. On the storage side we also assemble the pack. The commissioning certificate carries a named engineer's licence number.

Every unit your roof makes is used in one of three places, in this order: the load running right now, the battery, then the grid. A system without storage skips the middle step and sells the surplus at a quarter of what it costs to buy back.

The process

Eight stages, each with an owner

  1. 1

    Load study

Consumption measured across a full cycle, not estimated from a single bill, so the design matches how the site actually draws power.

  2. 2

    Site and structural survey

Roof condition, orientation, shading and load-bearing capacity assessed before any equipment is specified.

  3. 3

    System design

Array, inverter and storage sized together. Single line diagram, protection scheme and cable schedule produced.

  4. 4

    Itemised proposal

A bill of materials with every line justified, so the price can be compared like for like rather than as a headline figure.

  5. 5

    Procurement

Equipment sourced from manufacturers with a service presence in Pakistan. Serial numbers recorded against your installation.

  6. 6

    Installation

Mounting, wiring, protection and commissioning carried out by our own crews under engineer supervision.

  7. 7

    Commissioning and sign-off

Performance verified against the design. A named PEC licensed engineer signs the certificate.

  8. 8

    Net billing and handover

Application filed, inspection managed, documentation handed over with the monitoring set up.

Questions about how we work

What does EPC actually mean in practice?
Engineering, procurement and construction delivered on one contract, so there is a single company to hold responsible if the design is wrong, the equipment is not what was specified, or the system underperforms. The common alternative in this market is a trader who sells the kit, a subcontractor who fits it, and nobody who owns the outcome.
Who actually does the installation?
Our own crews, under the supervision of a PEC licensed engineer. We do not subcontract the installation to whoever is available, which is the point at which quality most often leaves a solar project in this market.
What is on the commissioning certificate?
The name and licence number of the PEC licensed engineer who verified the system against its design, not a company stamp. You keep it. It is the document that makes accountability specific rather than corporate.
Can I see the bill of materials before I commit?
Yes, and you should insist on it from anyone. Published prices for a 10 kW system in Lahore range from about PKR 750,000 to PKR 2,500,000, and almost all of that spread lives in the bill of materials rather than in anyone's margin. Cable gauge, structure specification and protection devices are where it hides.
Do you record equipment serial numbers?
Yes, against your installation, as part of handover. It matters for warranty claims years later, when the question is whether the panel on your roof is the panel that was specified.
What if the system underperforms against the design?
That is what commissioning measurement is for. If measured output does not match the design within the expected tolerance, finding out why is our problem rather than yours. This is the practical difference between an EPC contract and a supply and fit arrangement.
How long does the whole process take?
Three to four weeks for residential, six to twelve for commercial and industrial depending on approvals and civil work. The survey to proposal stage takes a few days. The parts outside our control, principally the DISCO queue, we will tell you about rather than promise around.

Ask us who signs your commissioning certificate

On our installations it is a named PEC licensed engineer on our payroll, with a licence number you can verify. Ask the same question of anyone else you are considering.
